Cleaning in Place Crew Machine Operator

POSITION OVERVIEW
 
Our Cleaning Crew Machine Operators – Production, work in small teams responsible for the cleaning in place (CIP) of all equipment required in the production of edible candies intended for the regulated cannabis market.  The CIP Machine Operator will be responsible for following the production schedule dictated by the Kitchen Manager and Supervisor, overseeing, and completing the CIP of the Hansel equipment and molds. This position will work in tandem with all other Kitchen Teams. In addition, the CIP Machine Operator will be flexible and open to assisting other departments with their machinery and tasks.

  • Monday – Friday, Full Shift Availability

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive (dependent on experience)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate factory-scale Hansel equipment including lard/butter rendering, milk/water boilers, pressure cookers, & agitators.  
  • Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of duties during a full CIP program using knowledge of pipelines, valve manifolds, pumps, and tankage. 
  • Monitor the CIP process by observing gauges and meters on equipment. Requires physical observation of cooking equipment as well as monitoring of the equipment’s automation software. 
  • Perform job tasks with adherence to all company Standard Operating Procedures. 
  • Conduct work in a safe manner and adhere to all safety policies. 
  • Maintain a clean work environment to meet Good Manufacturing Practices. 
  • Maintains logs on meter readings, gauge readings (such as water temperature and air pressure), and physical checks of the system. 
  • Assist in other duties as assigned to ensure the team, department, and company division maintain success. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CIP Machine Operating Experience in a Manufacturing Facility, or similar relevant experience, 2+ years
  • Commercial Kitchen / Food Preparation Experience, 2+ years (preferred)
  • Associate Degree, Culinary Degree, or Industry Training Equivalent (preferred)

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Handling cannabis products and packaged goods
  • Indoor production/warehouse-like environment
  • Industrially lit rooms featuring heavy machinery sounds at times
  • Plant pollen and extraction fumes may be present on surfaces and in the air
  • Protective suits may be required (provided on-site)
  • Kneeling, squatting, lifting (up to 30 lbs.), bending, twisting, walking, pivoting, and long-term standing (all expected activities)
